John McRae: 1927-2008

Fri Apr 4, 2008, 1:20 AM
  • Mood: Sadness
John McRae, born on the 9th of September, 1927, died this morning, April 4th, 2008, in his Barellan home. He was an exceptionally loving man and a keen painter. This deviantART account was created for his 80th birthday last year, and I hope that you will enjoy looking through it now in honour of his memory.

Warmest thanks.

R.I.P Mr. McRae.....words are not sufficient to express the delight your art evokes. Your paintings have an eternal quality. Thanks.

Just like John, his paintings remind me of the intense warmth and earthy smells of a mallee root in a wood-fire oven. He will be missed.

R.I.P

I never had the pleasure of knowing you but I am sure that your life will live on through your beautiful paintings.

Rest in peace.
